George Leamey is a business owner, financial expert, and adventurer based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He is the owner of both Kobo International and Octane Expeditions.

George Leamey’s professional career began with an education. He attended RMIT University, first obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering. Then he went back to earn his MBA from the same university. After graduation, George Leamey worked hard to collect the necessary experience to continue his business ventures. He’s had many roles over the years, some more interesting than others. In 2019 George Leamey signed on with JAC Limited, where he became its Managing Director. Around the same time, George started working on a different project – he became a Senior Managing Director for Freelancer Advisory. His work with Freelancer Advisory included reputation management, offering guidance to businesses and individuals, and more.
Following these ventures, George Leamey launched Kobo International in the Spring of 2000. Kobo International is a consultancy business in the manufacturing industry. As the owner and operator of Kobo International, it is George’s responsibility to manage all critical aspects of the company, including oversight, planning, and vision management. Kobo International is based in Australia and is over twenty years old. Such a longstanding project shows George’s commitment to his businesses.
Kobo International is not the only project to take up George Leamey’s time. He is also a National Business Consultant for Emerge Global Services. At Emerge Global Services, George is responsible for international business investor relations, reporting to the Board on matters and agriculture investments. It’s worth noting that George Leamey is the company’s South East Asia Investment Specialist, proving his value and knowledge within the company.
George Leamey has many hobbies and interests that he enjoys. Some of these interests have even become professions. For example, George Leamey launched Octane Expeditions (previously known as ORAT), which stems from his love of adventure bike riding. Octane Expeditions has been around for over five years and offers off-road adventure tours. The company operates globally, offering unique bike adventures in remote destinations. For example, one tour George Leamey hosted a Hattah: Into the Sunset Ralley. This adventure took clients through the Murray Sunset Desert region, delivering an experience that they will never forget. George’s success with Octane Expeditions proves that entrepreneurs can turn a passion into a profession – if they have the dedication to follow through.
Other hobbies and interests of George Leamey’s include golfing and four-wheel driving. Naturally, this means George loves collecting bikes and four-wheels. George owns a Toyota 80 series Landcruiser with a GM 6.2 Super Charge V8. It is one of his favorite possessions, enabling him to travel the way he likes. George is also very fond of his GLC 63 AMG Coup 2020.
